Memberships introduces a new way to generate revenue through your Super site.
The memberships feature is available on the Pro tier site plan
Setting up memberships
1. Connect stripe
In order to enable memberships on your Super account you need to connect Super to Stripe. You will be prompted to do this once you enable Memberships in the Super dashboard. You can manage the connection in the Settings tab.
2. Create a plan
Once stripe is connected, the next step is to create some plans for members to subscribe to. Creating plans is easy, head to the Plans tab on the Memberships page and choose Create plan. From here you can provide the following plan options:
Payment type (Free, Recurring payment or One-time payment), Plan name, Plan description, Plan features as well as an option to make a secret plan that can only be applied to members manually
3. Choose gated content
Once you’ve created some plans, its time to choose which pages of your site the plans get access to.
- Head to the ‘Gated Content’ tab in the Memberships page and click the ‘Create gated content’ button.
- From here you can give the content a name and then choose which plans get access.
- Use the page selector to choose which pages of your site this plan can access.
Adding members
Members signing up through your site
Once the membership feature is configured and activated, a new login/signup form will appear on your website. Users can use these forms to register and subscribe to a plan.
Manually adding members in Super
An alternative method for adding members to your site is through manual entry in Super. To do this, navigate to the Members tab on the Membership page. Here, you can input the member's email address and select a suitable plan.
Membership settings
Manually approving members
By default, members who sign up for your site are automatically approved. However, you can enable manual approval in the membership settings page. When this option is activated, a new section will appear in your membership dashboard, allowing you to review and approve sign-ups before granting access.
Disable sign up
This option allows you to close signups on your membership site at any time.
Redirect pages
The redirect pages options allows you to configure which pages members are redirected to once they complete certain actions such as Login, signup and logout.
Stripe account
You can configure your Stripe connection at anytime in the Billing tab on the Settings page.
Emails
The membership feature includes its own email system, enabling automatic communication with your members through customizable automated emails. These emails are sent at key stages of their membership journey, including sign-up confirmation, membership approval, and plan expiry. You can customize these emails in the Settings tab on the Membership page.
